My work as the social sciences librarian involves helping faculty and students in journalism, judicial studies, political science, psychology, sociology and social psychology, including teaching information literacy. I also educate university members about new initiatives in scholarly publishing, such as open access, open data and open educational resources. I help answer copyright questions, including issues related to teaching and research.

I received my M.L.S. from Indiana University-Indianapolis. Before working as an academic librarian, I worked for 10 years as a newspaper reporter. Making sure people have access to information important to them is my jam.

On top of trying to convince researchers to make their work open, I also like to read and travel (two more states, and I'll have visited every state in the country).
