Here are some of the key endowments that support and enhance our mission at the University.
Mary Sue Ferrell/Irene Paulin Endowed for University Libraries and Friends of the Library are critical to supporting our student workers. Students comprise more than half of the University Libraries staff. As they assist in areas from circulation to building operations, our students help deliver the essential services that support our campus community as well as the Reno-Sparks region. At the same time, students are building valuable skills, and many depend on their wages to offset their educational expenses. Help us keep students on the road to graduation by supporting our student workers.
The Jon Bilbao Basque Library supports research in Basque culture and the Basque diaspora and is a memory institution for the Basque community throughout North America. This culture, with its unique language, has played a prominent role in our region's history, and your support helps the Basque Library preserve and care for its collections.
Special Collections and University Archives is dedicated to collecting, caring for, and preserving our region's history in the form of photos, maps, and documents, while providing expert research assistance and instruction. With more than 5 million individual primary source materials in more than 3500 collections, your support helps us properly care for these precious materials.
Help us drive student success through innovative, immersive learning opportunities by providing support for cutting-edge technology in our Makerspace. Hands-on learning helps students develop critical thinking skills while acquiring real-world skills they take with them beyond graduation. Your investment will help us keep pace with evolving maker technology and directly support our students.
