Working in the Libraries

What has been your favorite thing about working in the Libraries?: Friendly workplace and co-workers.

Can you tell us about a favorite memory or job-related achievement from your time working here?: At the end of every semester, we have a student worker celebration and there are usually fun events and sometimes prizes.

What’s next for you?: I am continuing here in the master's program for biotechnology.

From Nicole, Brandon's supervisor: Brandon is incredibly easy to get along with—his close friendships with everyone on shift prove that! His calm, laid-back energy keeps things easygoing on shift and he’s always up for a chat about food, shows, games, or anything else that comes to mind.

Back when UNR was still hosting them, Brandon, Rino, and I eagerly (and not-so-patiently) awaited Food Truck Wednesdays on campus each week. We had a favorite vendor that served tacos in several styles: al pastor, carnitas, carne asada—all delicious. But one day, when we went for lunch, we were dismayed to find they weren’t in their usual spot and were worried they had closed. We ended up running all over campus, desperately trying to track them down so we could get our much-needed taco fix! When we finally found them, we were beyond relieved.
