Working in the Libraries
What has been your favorite thing about working in the Libraries?: I think I’ve developed everlasting connections and friendships along the way.
Can you tell us about a favorite memory or job-related achievement from your time working here?: Working during Nevada Fit and exposing students to campus for the first time.
What’s next for you?: I will be attending the Master’s Program in Social Work here at UNR. After that I plan to join the medical field as a Medical Social Worker.
From Jess, George's supervisor: My favorite part about working with Geroge is how reliable he is. When he is on shift, I know that the tasks and service orders that day will be completed. There was a time when George was helping to empty out a space in the building, and the customer was being a little difficult that day. George was doing everything he could to make sure their needs were met, despite the energy they were displaying. George has always excelled in customer service within this department.
George’s selected book from the Libraries’ collection:
Lunar: a history of the moon in myths, maps, and matter, incorporating the USGS/NASA geologic atlas. 1962-74
