Prim Library floor maps

First Floor

A map of the first floor of Prim Library. It includes colors differentiating public and staff spaces, in addition to room and service labels. The floor features a service desk near the entrance, a large atrium with study space, public computers along the West wall, public printing along the south wall, and restrooms in the center of the floor.


What you can find on the first floor

The first floor encompasses Prim Library’s public and patron spaces. The circulation desk and library staff are accessible upon entering the building. This floor also houses all library materials including featured book displays, the poetry, sustainability, and art collections, journals, and more. Additionally, the space features tables for studying, soft seating for lounging, computers and printers, and public restrooms. Printing is only available to students, staff, and faculty. A gender-neutral restroom is available next to the OIT suite.

Second Floor

A map of the second floor of Prim Library. It includes colors differentiating public and staff spaces, in addition to room labels. The primary public space on the floor is located in the center of the floor on a mezzanine used for studying.


What you can find on the second floor

Patrons are welcome to use the tables and cubicles located on the second-floor mezzanine, and the building’s two classrooms are located on this floor. Classrooms are scheduled for instruction purposes only and are not open to the public or for use as study spaces. The mail room is next to classrooms and is open to students, staff, and faculty for mail pickup. All other areas are University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe staff and faculty offices and spaces.

Third Floor

A map of the third floor of Prim Library. It includes colors differentiating public and staff spaces, in addition to room labels. The floor is primarily used for administrative offices, with the exception of a gallery space.


What you can find on the third floor

The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe Vice Provost Office and Administrative Suites are on the third floor with additional staff and faculty offices and spaces. Additionally, the Tahoe Gallery (311) is located at the top of the entryway staircase and is open to the public Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
