Summary

is a Native American poet and tribal historian. She was born in Scurz, Nevada to a Shoshone mother and a Chippewa father, and is a graduate of the University of Montana-Missoula. northSun has published several works of poetry, including Love at Gunpoint and A snake in her mouth: poems 1974–96, and wrote the non-fiction tribal history of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone, After the Drying Up of the Water.
