Summary
Russell Elliott taught school for the White Pine High County School in Ely and Southern Oregon College in Ashland. He retired as a History Professor Emeritus at the University of Nevada in Reno for 28 years. Russell received the Distinguished Nevadan honor from the University of Nevada in 1985 and an award of merit from the American Association for State and Local History for his book History of Nevada.
