About the University Libraries

The University Libraries embraces intellectual inquiry and innovation, nurtures the production of new knowledge, and fosters excellence in learning, teaching and research.

The Libraries welcomed more than 1 million visitors across its network of four libraries: the Mathewson-lGT Knowledge Center, the DeLaMare Science and Engineering Library, the Savitt Medical Library and the Prim Library at the University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe. Visitors checked out more than 64,119 items and completed more than 2.2 million database searches.

The Libraries enhanced teaching, learning, and discovery by providing approximately 9,700 individual help sessions in person and remotely across all departments; giving 1,117 in-person, online or asynchronous presentations to 12,942 people; managing 13.2 million digital objects; welcoming 1.3 million users to its website which had more than 6.2 million pageviews; providing access to 1.3 million e-books and 343,366 streaming videos, 312 research databases, and much more.
