Savitt at Renown
The Savitt Medical Library maintains a branch library within Renown Medical Center's Sierra Tower, featuring two University of Nevada, Reno computers and two Renown computers. The library is located adjacent to the main entrance of the cafeteria.
Library access is available 24/7 via the badge reader at the entrance. Please swipe your Renown badge to enter.
The Savitt Medical Library also provides a dedicated library space for University of Nevada, Reno medical residents, located on the third floor of the Sierra Tower.
Services
The Savitt at Renown location is staffed part-time with a medical librarian for consultation and assistance to serve the UNR Med professional and educational community. Our librarians are able to connect patrons with public access online resources (e.g. PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, Cancer.gov, MedlinePlus, etc. Services that support the information needs of our users include reference assistance, in-depth literature searching, and instruction.
Please note that the space and services are not available to patients or their families.
All of the Savitt Medical Library online licensed resources are available to patrons with a University of Nevada, Reno NetID. A NetID is available to all current UNR Med faculty, students, residents, fellows, and staff. Our licensed materials include databases, journals, eBooks, and streaming media.
