From humble beginnings as a single building in an open field north of Reno, the University of Nevada, Reno’s campus has changed dramatically. As the University grew in terms of course offerings, research opportunities, and the student body, the physical campus grew as well. Today, the University boasts three campuses, measuring
more than 300 acres.
The aerial photographs featured in this display show the development of the main campus over nearly 100 years, and invite us to reflect on the growth of the University of Nevada, Reno as we approach our sesquicentennial anniversary.
