Fostering discovery
As the Makerspace strives to be partners in the creative and scholarly pursuits of our campus, we recognize the unique needs of our researchers. Academic projects are prioritized in our space and researchers can work with the Makerspace team to ensure critical access to equipment and the completion of Makerspace-run jobs, such as those done on the ShopBot and 3D printers.
Our Artec 3D scanners have also been heavily utilized for research in a variety of disciplines. To accommodate research where it happens, these scanners can be checked out of the Makerspace by researchers after they have completed 3 training sessions with a Maker Wrangler.
