Faculty and Graduate study carrels and lockers
Study carrels
Study carrels are located in the faculty and graduate reserved studies suite, room 421, on the 4th floor of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. They are private assignments for research and other materials used by faculty, graduate students, and emeritus faculty on a priority needs basis.
Assignments will be made according to the following priorities:
- Untenured professors, on the tenure track, requiring extensive use of library print collections
- Tenured faculty on sabbatical engaged in research requiring extensive use of library print collections
- Ph.D. candidates, currently enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno, writing dissertations requiring extensive use of library print collections
- Postdoctoral
- Tenured faculty working on book projects that require sustained library use
Emeritus faculty and visiting scholars whose work requires sustained use of library materials
Pricing
In order to reserve an individual study carrel, a $50.00 deposit is required.
Key pick-up/return
Once your request for a study carrell has been approved, you will need to schedule an appointment with Jessica Trujillo to pick up the key. You will also need to email ahead of time to return your key.
Terms
Study Carrel assignments are valid for only one academic year, from July 1st - May 31st. Occupants will receive an e-mail notification in early May announcing assignment expirations. For more information, please review the Study Carrel Policies.
Lockers
Graduate students and faculty have the opportunity to apply for a locker, which provide a place to keep materials and books. There are 16 reservable lockers in the faculty and graduate reserved studies suite, room 421, on the 4th floor of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. Priority is given to master's students.
Pricing
In order to reserve a locker, a $10.00 deposit is required.
Lock pick-up/return
Once your request for a locker has been approved, you will need to email to make an appointment with Jessica to pick up your lock. You will also need to email ahead of time to return your lock.
Terms
Locker assignments are for one academic year, July 1st - May 31st. Occupants will receive an e-mail notification in early May announcing assignment expirations. For more information, please review the Locker Policies.
