While you were away
Many things have changed in the Libraries over the summer. The computers in our spaces have been updated with a new software configuration. The campus Office of Information Technology (OIT) has also added additional security measures to help keep your data safe. This page will help you learn more here about how those changes will change working with our technology.
Software on public computers
To help keep computers more secure and up-to-date, our partners in OIT have reduced the number of software titles installed on each computer. This includes replacing Chrome with Edge, the standard Microsoft browser. But don't worry! Many of the titles can be quickly downloaded from the software center and installed each time you use a computer in our spaces.
Multi-factor authentication
We all know how important it is to keep our digital systems secure these days. A big part of that process involves making it harder for someone to use stolen usernames and passwords. That's where multi-factor authentication (MFA) comes in! It takes an extra second or two, but it makes it much more difficult to abuse stolen information and keeps all of us safer.
